Vehicle Specific Mud Flaps
A mud flap or mud guard is used in combination with the vehicle fender to protect the vehicle, passengers, other vehicles, and pedestrians from mud and other flying debris thrown into the air by the rotating tire. We manufacture universal type and vehicle specific mud flaps. We have a range of more than 250 different models.
Salient Features
- Made from recycled and virgin grades of Polypropylene, EPDM, TPE, and TPO.
- Polymers and products are ROHS and REACH compliant.
- High Flexibility - Mud flaps can bend at an angle of 180⁰.
- Mud flaps are made from highly elastic and abrasion resistant material.
- They retain their mechanical properties up to -40⁰ Celsius.
Mud Flap Development Cycle
- Vehicle body near the rear bumper and front fender is scanned.
- 3D CAD models are prepared for the bumper and fender.
- Next 3D CAD models are prepared for the mud flaps.
- Both models are assembled to check cross fitment.
- If the fitment is okay, moulds are prepared.
- 1st prototype is made and is tried on the vehicle.
- If the fitment is perfect, moulds are polished and sent for mass production.
We can also develop via reverse engineering i.e. profiling from the OEM manufactured mud flaps.
Quality Check
Random checking of tensile strength and elasticity is done per lot to ascertain the parameters are within the defined tolerances.
